CryoSkin was especially developed for beauty salons. With no suction cups, treatments are safe, easy to operate and efficient. The practical handpiece allows the operation of 3 treatments: CryoSlimming, CryoToning and CryoFacelift.

The first iteration was launched in the French market in 2013 after 2 years of research. The current range offers the choice between CryoSkin 3.0 and CryoSkin 4.0. With CryoSkin 3.0 the 3 treatments are operated manually with a handpiece whereas CryoSkin 4.0 is the new iteration of the device specially designed for professionals who want to operate hands-free treatments.

CryoSkin 3.0 is compact and easy to operate. All programs are pre-set in the menu accessible via the convenient touch screen. Programs are organised by body area and ready to operate with the specific temperature and time. The 3 treatments (CryoSlimming, CryoToning and CryoFacelift) are operated with the same handpiece.

CryoSkin 4.0 includes four static cryo heads to operate hands-free CryoSlimming treatments on large body areas. Simply place the cryo heads on the treatment area and secure them with the provided bands. The machine takes care of the rest! Treatment is 30 minutes and there is no suction or risk of skin damage. CryoSkin 4.0 is also available with the handpiece allowing for CryoSlimming treatments on small body areas, as well as CryoToning and CryoFacelift treatments.

Difference between manual and static CryoSlimming treatments

Manual CryoSlimming treatments operated with the handpiece use temperatures as low as -8°C. There is no risk of skin burn even though the temperature is negative because of the dynamic massage performed. The efficiency of the treatment results from the very low temperature range used and the type of massage performed (slow movement creating a skin fold).

Static CryoSlimming treatments operated with the hands-free cryo heads use positive temperatures from +2°C to +4°C, which avoids any risk of skin burn while allowing the treatment to remain comfortable. The efficiency of the hands-free treatment results from the fact that the cryo heads are static, and hence the cold penetrates deeply as the heads are not moved during treatment.

Did you know? The death of the fat cells occurs when they reach a temperature lower than +8°C, so it is not always necessary to use negative temperatures to get good results! Both techniques, handpiece and hands-free, give the same results when it comes to inch loss (up to 4 inches in 5 sessions).

The Science

Cryolipolysis (fat freezing) is a revolutionary alternative to liposuction, safe and non-invasive.

Over 70 scientific and clinical papers have been published by renowned doctors and researchers which demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of the procedure when applied correctly.

The low temperatures cause the fat cells under the skin to die naturally. This phenomenon is called apoptosis. The dead fat cells are then disposed of via the lymphatic system and normal body processes within 2 to 3 weeks. This elimination process is perfectly natural and harmless for the body. There is an immediate inch loss at the end of the cryolipolysis session, but the final result will be achieved 2 to 3 weeks after when the elimination of waste will be complete. Once the fat cells are gone they will never come back, although a healthy diet is recommended after the treatment to prevent the remaining fat cells from enlarging.

Cryolipolysis technology with suction of the skin was the initial technique invented in the USA 20 years ago. It consists of cups of various sizes that the beauty therapist will attach to the client’s body parts. It’s a hands-free technology. The beauty therapist will apply the cup and leave it for 50 minutes. The skin is sucked into the cup and the cold triggers the apoptosis phenomenon (death of the fat cells). At the end on the treatment, the beauty therapist will disconnect the cups, and massage the treatment zone. It is possible to do a cup treatment every 2 months (time necessary for the skin to recover).

With CryoSkin 3.0, the cold temperatures are transmitted via the handpiece which is passed over the treatment zone by the beauty therapist. This non-static procedure allows to reach very low temperatures, as low as -8°C. With CryoSkin 4.0, the cold temperatures are transmitted via the cryo heads. It’s a hands-free static procedure using cold but positive temperatures of +2°C to +4°C. In both cases the treatments ensure a maximum efficiency while maintaining utmost safety. A session lasts only 30 minutes. There is no downtime and it is possible to do the following session 2 weeks after (time necessary to evacuate the dead fat cells).
